Don’t Miss Your Chance to Help ECLT!
The Essex Community Land Trust (ECLT) is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and preserving permanent affordable housing opportunities for low-to-moderate income families across Essex County and beyond. Founded in 2011, ECLT is part of a national network of community land trusts working to ensure that housing remains accessible and sustainable for generations to come.
ECLT’s mission centers on addressing the growing housing affordability crisis through innovative solutions such as a 99-year ground lease model, preventing displacement in rapidly developing communities, and providing financial education and support to homeowners. Their work promotes long-term neighborhood stability while helping families build and maintain generational wealth.
Through programs like Opportunity We Need (OWN) and P.O.W.E.R., ECLT develops and preserves affordable housing, supports homeowners with financial coaching and foreclosure prevention, and empowers property owners to maintain the long-term use of their land. The proceeds from this year’s invitational will support ECLT’s efforts to expand affordable housing, increase access to financial literacy programs, and provide long-term stewardship for homeowners.
